How to Contribute
Submit an account form. Once you receive approval from the Editorial staff, you can start uploading your photos. Be sure to add an email you use often, so our staff can contact you.
PhotoVogue is open to all photographic genres and subject matter. Keep these guidelines in mind for each photo: Photos must be the photographer’s own work and they remain the rights holder. Photos cannot include watermarks. Photos must be larger than 640 x 960 pixels, and cannot exceed 50MB.
You can upload photos to the platform on Mondays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Central European Time (GMT +1:00). The platform is closed Tuesdays through Sundays.
About
PhotoVogue curates a pool of incredible image makers from around the world to create an international database of the most interesting voices in contemporary photography.
We discover, nurture, and advance the careers of emerging and unrepresented artists while keeping a tight relationship with the mid-career artists that grew within the platform by giving them visibility and including them in different activities, propelling and advancing their careers.
Artists will be seen by the global Condé Nast network across 32 markets and could have their work published or commissioned by our brands and commercial partners.
PhotoVogue is both an archive and a platform for artists—from every background and region—to showcase their work worldwide. Soon PhotoVogue will also accept submissions from video makers, digital artists, and illustrators—creating a new generation of multimedia contributors.
Mission
The mission of PhotoVogue has always been and will continue to be to champion talent, reach into historically excluded communities, improve visual literacy and shape a more just, ethical and inclusive visual world.
PhotoVogue aligns with Condé Nast's goal of celebrating our differences; we are a collection of more than 6.000 individuals serving 37 brands in 26 languages, spanning 32 markets worldwide. Diversity is one of our greatest strengths and it is reflected in the diversity of our contributors from PhotoVogue.
PhotoVogue promotes Open Calls to scout talent in specific regions in the world or by theme. The Open Calls are evaluated by Condé Nast staff from all over the world and visual experts from the broader international visual community, thus guaranteeing a constant effort towards an inclusive and multifaceted perspective.
Building on the success of the PhotoVogue Festival, which has engaged the city of Milan for the past six years with events, talks, exhibitions, portfolio reviews, and many other initiatives, PhotoVogue continues to deliver the same caliber of events and experiences internationally to further the conversation around the promotion of creativity and diversity in image making.
In today’s world, where every brand is aiming to connect with their audience by delivering meaningful and relevant messages to communities that are actively engaged in issues of race, gender, equality, social justice and climate concerns, we aim to be the leader and game changer in giving a platform to the new creative voices and critical subject matter that will shape our future.

If you are experiencing issues logging into your PhotoVogue account, please try the following:
- Open https://www.vogue.com/photovogue in an incognito window.
Unsure how to open an incognito tab? Follow these steps. - ‘Sign out’ of your Vogue.com account via the account menu in the top right hand corner of the navigation. Then, proceed to PhotoVogue, and then try logging in via the ‘my profile’ option in the main menu.
You can upload every Monday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Central European Time (GMT +1:00). Every photo is personally reviewed and curated by our Editorial staff. Due to outstanding increase in contributions, we limit uploads to one day a week to ensure the same level of quality.
You can manage your portfolio and upload new visuals in your Profile. When you enter the upload portal, you can drag and drop images or browse and upload. Enter a title, description, category, and tags to each visual. Double check it in Preview, then submit. You’ll find the uploads in the Awaiting Approval section until they’re added to your portfolio.

If an upload fails, check the image size, which should be a maximum of 50MB and a minimum of 640 pixels wide x 960 pixels high. Clear the cache from your browser and make sure that you are using an updated version of your browser and a stable internet connection.
Once a photo is uploaded, the title and category cannot be edited. You’ll need to remove them, and reupload for approval. Unfortunately, this will count as your second upload of the day. Users can edit the tags on both published visuals and those awaiting approval.
During the photograph approval, Editors can point out the ones that they believe deviate too much from what PhotoVogue stands for. Upon receiving the third warning, the user’s upload function will be deactivated for a period of 60 days. The upload ban will be notified to the user by email upon receiving three warnings. After ten upload bans, the user’s profile will be disabled permanently.
You can upload as a .jpeg, .tiff, .png and .gif.
Photos that are not uploaded by the photographer will not be accepted. PhotoVogue is a platform exclusively developed for visual artists.
No: description and tags are optional. Only the title and the category are compulsory and cannot be changed at a later stage.
During the registration process, a photographer can choose the appropriate categories for his/her/their type of photography (categories can be edited at a later stage). The available categories are:
GENRE Abstract, Advertising, Aerial, Animals, Architecture, Art, Beauty, Black & White, Close up, Children, Commercial, Digital, Documentary, Drone, Editorial, Event, Environment, Fashion, Flowers, Fine Art, Food, History, Horizontal, Indoors, Landscape, Lifestyle, Mobile, Music, Nature, Outdoors, Photojournalism, Politics, Portraiture, Post-internet, Scientific, Science, Still Life, Surreal, Sports, Stock, Studio, Street, Tech, Travel, Urban, Vertical, Virtual, War, Wildlife, Wedding.

Each photo submission is reviewed by our Editorial team, to ensure they follow our guidelines and align with our aesthetics. Please don’t be discouraged if an image of yours is not approved; we encourage you to take a look at our guidelines and keep submitting.
You cannot have more than one profile on PhotoVogue. Editors reserve the right to eliminate extra profiles.
Each profile is reviewed by our Editorial team. The approval process takes about one business day.
Profiles will not be approved if they contain: inappropriate content, abuse, copyright breaches, or content that is detrimental to patents, trademarks, trade secrets, author’s rights, or any other industrial and/or intellectual third party property rights. This applies to the profile image, description, and embedded links.
You can delete your account from your Profile.If one of your visuals has been selected as a Pic of the Day, that image will remain in the archive after your profile has been removed.
You’ll receive a notification email if your visuals are selected for Best of PhotoVogue or as a Pic of the Day.
Our Editorial team is constantly reviewing submissions, so your photos may be accepted within a few minutes to a day after being uploaded.
If your photos are not approved by the Editorial team, you will no longer see them in the Awaiting Approval section, and they will not appear in your public portfolio.
PhotoVogue editors select members of the community to spotlight, who they feel demonstrate maturity in creating photographic projects both formally and thematically. Their visuals show a recognisable style, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of the subject matter represented. Their work is consistent over time and worthy of relevance. Spotlighted artists are selected on an ongoing basis, and notified via email.
Every day, the Editorial team selects a photo that they believe to be outstanding to highlight on the home page.
We would like to remind you that the photographs uploaded on the PhotoVogue platform remain property of their authors. Should the Editorial team be interested in publishing a user’s photograph in Vogue, other Conde Nast’s magazines or using it for a special initiative, the artist will be contacted by e-mail to discuss Author’s Rights and the pre-agreed fee, as per the fee structure in the Submission Amendment (section II, paragraph 6.), will be payable. With regard to Art + Commerce, the user will be dealing directly with the agency.
PhotoVogue’s photographs are personally selected by PhotoVogue’s editors (which is also the added value offered by this platform) who work continually on the selection process – even outside the standard working hours; however, they physically lack the time to individually explain why a photograph has not received approval. PhotoVogue does not wish to question the work or skills of an artist. The team behind the platform makes choices according to aesthetic and visual standards that are in line with PhotoVogue. It is important to observe what is approved and what is rejected from the photographs you upload: this way it becomes easier to understand what type of photos are accepted by the Editors. We also invite you to regularly look at the Pic of the Day and Best of sections to better appreciate the aesthetic approach championed by the platform.
